The crew of Playin' Hooky teamed up with LivingSocial.com earlier this year to offer special charter packages just in time for Father's Day. They have already had several successful trips with customers who purchased those trips, and they look forward to more trips in the future.

Additionally, the crew of Playin' Hooky donated a half day fishing trip as a raffle prize at the Quicks Cause for Paws back in April. They recently brought the raffle winner and his guests out on a trip that consisted of nonstop fun as fish were being reeled in left and right.

In June, Captain Joe was approached about a special request to have a sea burial. As Captain of the ship, Joe brought the women out to sea for a special trip that included a prayer and the scattering of the ashes.

Finally, the crew of Playin' Hooky recently participated in a shark tournament. There were close to 100 boats participating in the tournament, despite the slight rain and fog in the morning. Playin' Hooky reeled in a small hammerhead shark, a small mako shark, and some blue fish. They were also entertained by a whale for some time. The winning sharks were all thresher sharks. Unfortunately, they did not win this year, but they look forward to what next year will bring them.
